DIY Beeswax Candle- 6 DIY Scents That Will Make Your Home Smell Amazing

Beeswax candles, when burning off gives a honey-filled scent, and they also purify the air in your house. The honey-filled scent contains negative ions which counteract the terrible ions like dust, airborne toxins, and allergens.

They are easy to make, smells like honey and they are non-toxic.

You will need:

  • 1/2 lb beeswax pellets (filtered beeswax is best for this)
  • 1/4 cup of coconut oil
  • Cotton candle wicks
  • large glass jars
  • wick stickers
  • 4 oz glass or ceramic jars (as candle container)
  • bamboo skewers

Directions:

  • Put beeswax pellets into the jar
  • Fill the pot with water and bring to boil. Put the jar into the water and gently melt the beeswax
  • Stir with the bamboo skewer as it melts. Don’t let it smoke (beeswax is flammable so be careful)
  • Prepare your candle jar as the wax is melting by adding a wick sticker to the bottom of your wick. Place it in the center of the bottom of the jar.
  • Wrap the wick around a skewer that is across the jar to keep in an upright position.
  • Add coconut oil to melted wax and stir. (Skip this step if you want a 100% beeswax)
